Stalker was interested in the recent stories coming out of London. It seemed like there was a tussle going on between Shogun Maitake, a hydroponic mushroom operation in southwest London, and the planners in the city.
The city council was wrestling with its priorities locked in a dispute over whether to bend official land rules to support the innovative mushroom business.
Two weeks after council was deadlocked by a severance application from a local mushroom farm, politicians unanimously threw their support behind a new potential compromise that would create one small and one large parcel of land at 6188 Colonel Talbot Rd.
Staff were to report back to the planning committee in the coming month.
All intriguing when one thinks about mushroom growing in a metropolis like London - except it turns out that this London is the one in Ontario, Canada. Slightly less amazing, innit? But still of interest!
