Nearly a month after the All-Ireland final and the effects of the Armagh win are still being felt across the county – like mini-seismic events.
The Sam Maguire cup has been moving around within the county, from one small town or village to the next. Everywhere it goes the effects are discernible to observers, as inexplicably, the local workforces seem to go AWOL for a day or two.
The explanation could lie in the ample volume that the cup can hold, and the desire for each fan to savour a draught from the hallowed vessel.
