After the driest October in sixty years, Italian truffles have become pricier. Prices are now double what they were last year.- €4,500 (£4,000) a kilo, compared to €2,500 a kilo last year. The Italian truffle hunter (also known as a trifulau) are out scouring with their trusted hounds, but the amount they are finding is much less.
