The advert for the Origin Green Ireland food sustainability programme arrested the attention for sure. The world’s first national food sustainability programme it stated. An aerial view of some lovely green fields, a farmhouse and tree-lined lanes.
“Created By Bord Bia, Origin green is brings together the entire food industry with a common goal: sustainable food production. That means producing safe nutritious food within a viable industry that protects and enhances the natural environment and the local community.”
Those are definitely lofty ambitions. There’s also a very sumptuous green-tinged television advert appearing on a screen near you, or viewable on YouTube.
