Profits at the fruit distributor Fyffes dropped last year according to the business pages lately.
However the company's earnings were apparently boosted by the group’s foray into the mushroom business, through its acquisitions in 2016 of Canadian companies Highline Produce and AllSeasons Mushroom for a combined €140 million price tag.
Fyffe’s revenue last year was €1.4 billion, up from €1.2 billion in 2015.
