Speaking of local companies doing well, it was interesting to see that Moy Park, which started as a small local farm business in Tyrone 74 years ago - hit the headlines again this month.
The company was sold to the Pilgrim’s Pride Colorado based corporation, for $1 billion. Now headquartered in Craigavon, Co. Armagh, it is still amazing to see what was just a wee start-up all those years ago in Tyrone, become a billion pound a year business, one of the top 10 food companies in the UK , with 35 million chickens on its books at any one time.
