Looking back at the summer of 2007, the first article in the July edition of the magazine was entitled “Magic Returns to Mushroom Sector”.
Looking back 10 years earlier to August 1997, the first article was about ‘Measuring the Micro Climate’ by Jim Grant of Teagasc. There was also a wee note about a Caledon grower using a Mig Fighter plane!
Looking back ten years previous to that again, to August 1987 and the headlines were ‘Trend is Good for mushroom consumption’ and a piece about “Mushrooms Can lead the way for Irish Horticulture”.
With Dr David Robinson warning that with the Irish satellite system “one mustn’t assume that continuous expansion is guaranteed…. New developments are constantly taking place.”
