So depending on where you were on the 15th of July, St Swithin’s day, the old adage was once again to the forefront of people’s minds. If it rained, then it would rain for 40 more days and nights. If it was sunny, then the weather for the rest of the summer would be dry. Well it rained up north, but was sunny in the south of the country.
