News from the retail sector in April was of Tesco trialling a new mushroom packaging that promises to keep produce fresher for longer as well as cut down on food waste.
Tesco says the new, fully recyclable, pulp punnet has been chosen due to consumer demand. They say that customers are put of by condensation forming in the widely used plastic punnet.
It’ll be interesting to see if the ‘new’ punnet, which looks very like an old style pulp egg carton catches on or not.
