One mushroom industry supplier source mentioned the effect that Brexit was having on the sector of late.
In comparison to the company's other agricultural markets which were all doing quite well, the mushroom end of things was pretty much stagnant.
The thinking is that the uncertainty inputted into the sector by Brexit has effectively caused a freezing of activity as everyone in the sector is wary, watching and waiting.
The market for fresh mushrooms is not going to disappear, but who provides those mushrooms to the market is the question.
Who will have the know-how, the means and the opportunity to do the deals once the Brexit process has been settled.
