Stalker notes that Bord Na Mona is planning to set up a new mushroom casing operation in Kildare.
The newly proposed Bord na Mona horticultural facility has prompted the local council, Kildare County Council, to seek further information on the project.
In a joint venture with Dutch company, Legro, Bord na Mona plans to make soil casings for mushroom cultivation and export them to the UK and mainland Europe on the 2.7 hectare site adjoining the existing peat loading facility.
