The press was full of stories again this month of the benefits of vitamin D and the daily ingestion of the vitamin to ward of colds.
Apparently a daily supplement of the sunshine vitamin would help more than 3 million people in the UK every year from falling ill with the cold or similar infection.
Scientists reiterated that it was undeniable that everyone in these isles should fortify themselves with vitamin D.
Data from an 11,000 participant study showed that for those who took regular supplement, it produced a 12 percent reduction in numbers suffering an acute respiratory tract infection.
