FoodCloud, the not for profit social enterprise set up by a couple of Trinity College Dublin graduates is expanding further into the UK of late.

The company has teamed up with over 1200 stores across the UK and Ireland to help businesses redistribute surplus food to charities.

The company works with Waitrose and Tesco in the UK.

In Ireland it is on target to  redistribute 4,000 tonnes of food in 2017.

It’s fantastic to see such innovative enterprise helping solve an issue that is a bane of the food sector.
