The media witch hunt over the ‘cash for ash’ scandal was in full flow prior to the resignation of the deputy First Minister which is folding the Assembly as it stands.
Farmers who availed of the scheme seem to have been in the media crosshairs. Two thirds of the £55 million paid out so far under the botched green energy scheme has been paid out to farmers.
However, farmers who have availed of the scheme should not be scapegoated for the faulty inception of an energy scheme.
