The inventor of the Big Mac, Michael “Jim” Delligatti has died in the US at the age of 98.

He came up with the two all-beef patties burger with the club slice middle back in 1967.

Economists now use the “Big Mac Index” to compare the value of currencies against the dollar. His “invention” has truly become an icon of America.
