CARNEY COMMENTS

Meanwhile Mark Carney, the Governor of the Bank of England, has come out saying that he thinks the market reaction to sterling may be mistaken.

He acknowledged that the pound is going to move around as the Brexit process intensified, but said that markets may misinterpret the UK’s prospects.

The pound rebounded against the dollar a bit after the Governor’s comments, and dipped below the 90p per euro marker as well.
