According to Met Eireann’s monthly weather statistics July was hot, but it was no heatwave - more like an average Irish summer.
The highest temperature recorded was 30.4C at Mount Dillon in Co. Roscommon on July 19th. That is pretty hot for the West of Ireland.
Globally it is reported that this July was hotter than any other July on record. The trend for global warming is becoming more apparent according to some.
