As has been noted before the Chinese sporting teams make great use of mushrooms in their preparations for the Olympic Games. They know the nutritional and physiological benefits of mushrooms in their many guises.
Some put the fantastic haul of medals that the Team China picked up at the Beijing Games down to the use of cordyceps supplements.
As Stalker has noted before, the use of mushrooms in Olympic Games goes all the way back to Milo of Croton, of Ancient Greek fame.
The Games then consisted basically of wrestling in the nip, and Milo and his opponents munched on a bit of Fly Agaric mushroom to increase their aggression levels and fight like madmen.
Stalker wouldn’t recommend it for today's Olympians.
