Stalker noticed that the renewable Heat Incentive Scheme (RHI) in Northern Ireland has come under scrutiny of late. One claim that a farmer is in line to receive £1 million of public money over the next 20 years for heating an empty shed, due to a failure by Stormont to control the renewable energy scheme, was made by auditors.
Up to £1 billion of public money will be paid to Northern Ireland based businesses by 2036 after they installed new appliances under the RHI scheme, which is now closed.
It seems like someone’s getting burned, somewhere along the line, not just biomass material.
