The tale of the mushroom and the insect found in amber dating back 50 million years ago is the kind of science story that just blows the mind.
The amber fable relates to a time not long after the dinosaurs roamed the Earth and a time when the forbears of mankind were but rodents and the like scurrying around chomping on fungi.
It’s difficult sometimes to comprehend the expanses of deep time that existed on this planet long before human minds were about to observe time.
