There’s a wee farm for sale in Donegal that has attracted much attention.
The An Grianan farm which is currently owned by the Donegal Investment Group is going under the hammer it appears and is expected to fetch €15 to €20 million.
It is one of Europe’s largest organic farms, the 2.400 acre estate near Burt has 1,900 acres of farmland and 500 acres of lake.
It was bought by Donegal Creameries in 1996 for IR£3.7 million.
Donegal’s profits fell by 10% last year, largely due to weakness at its potato-seed business.
