APRIL COLD
Last month was the coldest April in 27 years according to stats from the Armagh Observatory. The observatory said the average temperature was just above 7C, cooler than the long-term average. In the north the month saw 21 nights of ground frost as well as sleet, hail and some snow.The coldest night was April 9th, with a low of minus 1.5C. April was also slightly drier and duller than average. The Armagh Observatory has been recording the weather at Armagh since 1795.
