The Origin Green initiative in the South continues to acquire new members and grow in stature.
The initiative promoted and devised by Bord Bia aims to promote Ireland’s commitment to sustainable food and drink production. In order to join the initiative companies must provide proof that they are striving towards the goals of sustainability.
Stalker noted recently that another mushroom company has joined the ranks of verified members.
Codd Mushrooms have made concrete and verifiable commitments in accordance with the Origin Green sustainability charter to becoming a more sustainable producer. The company is now an Origin Green Verified Member.
Two other mushroom companies are verified members of the scheme,namely Kerrigans Mushrooms and Monaghan Mushrooms Group.
