Car sales in Britain hit a record in March, up 5.3 percent to 518,707 and were boosted by demand for the latest registration plate.

Looking back at street scene photos from the 80’s recently it was weird to note all the boxy cars we used to drive around in.

Now all on the scrap heaps and recycled, bar the few that have been kept pristine and make it out on vintage and classic car runs.

In 30 years time it’s hard to imagine how quaint the sleek motors of today will then look.
