Depending on what type of media you’re consuming, March was a mild month or it was the hottest ever recorded. In local newspapers March was mild. Armagh observatory reported that the month was slightly drier and milder and sunnier than average. In the national press, March shattered a century long record in global terms. March was 1.07C hotter than the 20th century average - smashing previous records according to the World Meteorological Organisation. Once again the major El Nino effect is seen as the cause of the boosted global temperatures. Let’s hope it doesn't go to vindaloo status!
