Looking back at the March 1986 issue of The Mushroom People one can see what a busy time for the industry it was.
Irish Growers were being warned or encouraged to support the U.K. mushroom promotional push by the Mushroom Industry Marketing Bureau, by Mr P.H.Cracknell of Baddow Park Mushroom Farm Ltd. There were trichoderma seminars going on, mushrooms were expanding in Kilnaleck, 200 people attended a meeting of SAFE in Armagh and Reen rover was casting his eye over all things pertinent.
Stalker notes that Tennelly products were advertising back then - Stalker still uses a Tennelly penknife from that era!
