One of Sylvan's top boffin's was in the country recently. Rick Kerrigan is Sylvan's director of research in the US. He directs a multinational team of researchers worldwide, whose research focuses on developing the most stable and reliable spawn strains.
The result of these efforts is that Sylvan products and services continue to be foremost in the mushroom industry worldwide.
Sylvan operates research centres in six locations on four continents and collaborates with university researchers worldwide. The company is dedicated to continued improvement of spawn stability and reliability.
Sylvan also invests in the continued development of nutritional supplements, casing inoculum and disease control agents.
Whilst in Europe Rick visited Holland, the UK and Ireland.
Stalker is sure that while on the Irish leg of the tour Rick was given a full grounding in the R&D protocols here – that is the relax and drink protocols, down the pub!
Stalker also wonders whether or not Rick did any genealogical digging while in Ireland?
