There’s news emanating from Armagh outfit Button Farm Mushrooms of a substantial investment in their operation. £1.5m is to be invested in a new high tech mushroom processing and packing facility.
The business, which currently employs 14 staff, is looking to expand from producing mushroom compost to mushroom growing, processing and marketing. They also managed to secure a £200K loan from the Growth Loan Fund to support the project.
Hopefully the up and coming local company will go from strength to strength. Brothers Jonathan and David McKew who run the company certainly have the pedigree to make it a great success.
