Tesco’s free in-house magazine Food Family Living had a good spread on mushrooms in the October issue.
The glossy two page spread had beautiful photos of chestnut, button, enoki, shiitake, girolle and Forestiere mushrooms. The latter variety being “grown in Ireland exclusively for Tesco”.
The main article concentrated on the Smithy Mushrooms farm in Lancashire. There was also a chicken and mushroom ramen recipe, perfect for those chillier evenings.
It was a good bit of promotion for the fresh produce - we can only hope Nigella does a mushroom recipe in her latest TV programme Simply Nigella. That would be sure to boost demand even further!
