There’s was a flurry of news headlines about a truly magical mushroom in the press this month. A scientific study has apparently discovered that a mushroom from Hawaii can have a rather large effect on women.
“According to the study scientists, they found that about 50% of the female participants in the study had instantaneous orgasm when they smelled the odor of a Hawaiian mushroom. They believed that the women experienced orgasm because the mushroom contains some hormone-like compounds that are same as neurotransmitters released during sex.”
Stalker would say come off it, but that might be misconstrued. Just another fascinating facet of the wonderful world of fungi.
The study itself was originally published in 2001, and Stalker vaguely remembers noting news of it before. The “scientific trial” involved 20 men and 16 women, and has never since been replicated. Hardly conclusive proof of the power!
