The idea that artificial intelligence will lead to mass obsolescence of the human workforce is not new.
But with the ever increasing automatization of what were human activities;e.g the robotic picking in horticulture - be it robotic mushroom picking or a new agrobot for scanning strawberry plants and picking the ripest strawberries; or the rise of driverless cars - uber are planning driverless taxis in Arizona very soon; it would seem that the pace of change is quickening.
