The number of on farm accidental deaths was at its highest for 20 years in 2014. Coming into the summer months every farmer needs to pay even more attention to safety procedures to help prevent the yearly mounting death toll.
Awareness of the risks on farms has never been higher, but there seems to be no diminution in the number of accidents happening. Converting awareness into preventative actions seems to be the key. Let’s hope this year is not as bad.
