Paddy and Caitriona McArdle and family managed to get away for the summer holidays this year to Lanzarote.
Apparently the climate this time of year is just right, not to hot – perfect for lounging about near a pool.
On return to the homestead though Paddy was called upon to rescue one of his intra-mural house residents i.e. the bats that have found a home in the wall cavity of the house. One of the little chaps managed to get into the house and set the kids into a flap.
Valiant Paddy donned a big set of gloves, retrieved the equally frightened bat, and released it back into the night. Well done that man.
