Last month was the coldest February for five years in most parts of Ireland according to Met Eireann. Although one weather station also recorded its highest one day temperature in almost 20 years.
Armagh Observatory also reported that February was duller and cooler than average in the North. The average sunshine for the month was down 10 percent on the 30 year average.
There were 17 nights with ground frost and 12 with air frost. Chilly enough!
