Minister Coveney, who delivered speeches at both the World Bank and the School of Advanced International Studies, John Hopkins University, in Washington DC, on his trip to the U.S., also mentioned the new Origin Green initiative.
He explained the Origin Green sustainability programme (www.origingreen.ie ) which commits the sector to produce more, using less.
The Mushroom sector already has Monaghan Mushrooms involved with the initiative.
