The U.S. Department of Agriculture is seeking nominations for the Mushroom Council. Three council seats — two in Region 2 and one in Region 3 – will become open at the end of 2015, according to a news release from the San Jose, California based council.
Members serve three-year terms on the council, which is made up of eight U.S. producers and an importer. Region 1 covers all states except Pennsylvania and California, as well as the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico. Region 2 covers Pennsylvania, and Region 3 California.
