The other rugby player mentioned to Stalker in the past few weeks, Dominic Ryan, also got his first cap that day in the match against Georgia.
Although he has no mushrooming connection, his debut is still worth a wee mention.
Dominic managed to get a stamp in the face from one of the Georgian players. A stud filled welcome to the international stage for him. No doubt, his dad Neville was hopping in the stands at that low blow.
Happily, all the post match reports and analysis were all very favourable about his performance. Well done that lad too!
12/10/2014 9:12:04 AM good morning to the mushroom people. thank you for the mention about our son dave foley and pearl mushrooms. i passed it on to him. he got a great laugh at his picture which we think was taken 7 years ago when he was playing in the under 19 world cup in belfast, he looks a lot bigger and intimidating now with his cauliflower ears (proudly earned in the scrums) which he loves to show off! i have remarked to him that they are more similar to mushrooms than cauliflowers. i noted that you mentioned domnic ryan who i am an admirer of as he is a great player and a nice guy off the rugby field. i always look forward to receiving your mag as its the only medium of uniting mushroom growers together in these challenging times which i believe is very important that we share information and give support to each other in our island of all ireland . keep up the good work.
best regards
