The ‘Grade 1 Minimum Rate’ of wages for local agricultural workers in the North increased from the first of October 2014.
The AWB (Agricultural Wages Board for Northern Ireland) has announced that the wage increase will go from £6.47 per hour, to £6.50 per hour in line with a scheduled increase in the National Minimum Wage from that date.
The pay increase applies to Grade One workers only. The minimum rates of pay for Grade two to grade six agricultural workers remain unchanged.
