The straw harvest this year is plentiful. Conditions for the golden stuff have been perfect this summer, and farmers have been capitalising on the good weather.
There should be no problems for the compost end of the industry sourcing the finest of straw from Irish fields the year.
Word is though that farmers are getting a low price for their grain - there's always a downside.
