Reports from Russia indicate that the price of mushrooms in the country have doubled since the ban on imports of fresh fruit and veg there. According to Mushroom Biz, Ukraine was still able to export mushrooms to Russia in August.
With the news in early September of a ceasefire in place in the eastern Ukraine region, there is some glimmer of hope for greater normalisation of relations to begin.
However many observers predict further upheavals to come before the situation resolves. We can but wait and see.
