In light of the restrictions on imports imposed by Russia over the Ukrainian crisis, the GEPC Assembly has asked the EU to assist the European mushroom sector - with special emphasis on Poland - to limit production in the coming months.
Poland has also looked into solutions and alternative measures ( e.g. less processing and less compost production,) to try and ease the difficulties arising from the Russian import ban.
