Stalker> was interested to see some megalithic mushroom art and jewellery at the Newgrange heritage site in Co. Meath.
Seems as if our ancestors were very much into the reverence of mushrooms for both sustenance and in some instances for the mind altering qualities of the local fungi.
When one sees the intricate and advanced engineering required to make the solstice chamber at Newgrange, one can but marvel at their ingenuity and spiritual reality.
It makes one wonder what structures built now will last for the next five or six thousand years?
Mind you, the longevity of some of the old mushroom tunnels from the 1980's which dot the countryside, causes pause to ponder.
