The ever increasing drive to become carbon neutral is gathering momentum year on year.
As ever the Dutch seem to be leading the way, but the Irish agri-food sector and in particular the mushroom sector are not lagging behind in attempts to reduce emissions and achieve carbon neutral status.
The new goal in agriculture, it seems, is to become carbon positive, according to Dr Voegele of the World Bank. There sure is a ways to go yet on that score, but it is always helpful to aim high.
