Cherries , asparagus and soybeans are among the cornucopia of produce adorning the heads of a number of mayors and regional governors in an attempt to promote local produce.
Maybe local politicians could take a leaf out of the Japanese handbook for pushing the local produce. Can't you just see the denizens of Stormont or the Dáil sporting a large mushroom or some other local favourite on their heads.
