Stalker enjoyed this little homily to the espresso bean from www.home-barista.com. A way, if one can follow the jargon, to make yourself a ‘lovely’ mushroomy coffee.
“Recently I switched beans and ground a shot worth of espresso, proceeded to pull and got a WAY over extracted espresso with lots of oil slick floating on top with over 1 minute pull. As an experiment I made it into a cappuccino and had a very interesting flavour profile with overwhelming flavour of mushrooms. (Like a crimini/portabello like mushroom.) It was actually pretty good, but it did make me wish I was eating it with a baguette and a French omelette! I won't be making more pulls like that intentionally, but it wasn't too bad for an occasional mistake.
It's amazing the flavours you can pull out of an espresso bean."
