The Irish Times produced their top 1000 companies supplement again this month. Its always interesting to see the movers and shakers in the world of industry and finance in Ireland.
As ever it is especially interesting to see what companies from the mushroom sector make it onto the list. The May 2014 list sees Walsh Mushrooms make an appearance at ranking position number 506. The company is listed as having a turnover of 75 million and 240 Irish employees.
Monaghan Mushrooms also made it onto the list at ranking position number 198. The Monaghan turnover is listed at a whopping 275 million and the number of Irish employees is given as 2750. Perhaps that employee count is the worldwide count of employees.
One other company of note is Donegal Creameries still listed under its old name. It comes in at ranking position number 488, with a turnover of 80 million and the number of Irish employees given as 350.
