Wholesale electricity prices in Northern Ireland have lowered by 9 per cent since an interconnector linking Ireland and Britain commenced full commercial operations last year.
This is according to energy firm Eirgrid Group which includes the System Operator for Northern Ireland (SONI).
Funny how as consumers of electricity one only notices the prices going up.
Eirgrid Chief executive Fintan Slye said the group was committed to providing "reliable and economic power" to customers across Ireland.
