With the announcement of up to £4 million being invested in the JF McKenna operation in Armagh, it is a sure sign of the green shoots of economic recovery.
The strategy is being supported by £422,000 of assistance from Invest Northern Ireland - it's nice to see some money from the centre flowing out into the local economy.
JFM Managing Director Brendan McKenna said: " this is a very substantial investment that will enable us to develop and manufacture packaging from a wider range of polymers”.
“By strengthening our manufacturing capability and versatility and our overall competitiveness we aim to exploit the significant opportunities that we believe exist in Europe for our expertise."
“Another key aspect of the investment is the capability it provides for us to diversify into plastic packaging for other products.”
Looks like the JFM packaging division is set to grow and grow.
