Stalker noted one other small factoid that had escaped attention. Quorn had advertised itself as a mushroom –based foodstuff, but during 2002 in the USA the Center for Science in Public Interest raised concerns about the product being thus described.
The product has obviously overcome some challenges since it first appeared in the shops in 1985.
Also the Chief Executive of Quorn is Kevin Brennan, from Nottingham in the UK, but both parents Irish of course.
