Stalker hears that a number of Irish based composting firms are sourcing straw from England at the moment. The word is that bringing the straw in from across the water is working out cheaper for the compost operation. Even though supply of straw is not an issue on the island of Ireland this year, it seems slightly weird that it works out cheaper to bring straw over from Blighty. Maybe someone brighter that Stalker can figure that one out.
